During her undergraduate studies at the CRNL (Lyon), Yéléna explored how sleep influences cognitive development in early childhood, and later how cognitive biases affect prognostic decisions in neuro-emergency care. During her hospital internship, she also observed different disorders of consciousness (DoC), which deepened her interest in the research of consciousness processes and disorders/states like in sleep or with DoC patients. As a student in the cog-SUP, she is now completing her M1 internship within the Consciousness team at INCC, where she will study the dynamics of conscious access during sleep through auditory stimulation and EEG recordings, under the supervision of Claire Sergent, Basak Türker, and Julie Boyer.
