Zeynep Ozkaya completed her bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and is currently an M1 intern studying Cognitive Science at the Ecole Normale Supérieure. During her undergraduate studies, she investigated biomarkers for traumatic brain injury using functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) and refined signal processing methods for neural data with machine learning techniques. Now a master’s student in cognitive science, Zeynep is interested in applying her engineering background to understanding neural correlates of consciousness through imaging studies and modeling.
