Perceptual metacognition explores the subjective assessment and control of perceptual processes. Over the past decade, interest in this field has surged among philosophers, neuroscientists, psychologists, and computer scientists. Perceptual metacognition shares close connections with the study of consciousness, a complex mental phenomenon that has captivated scientists across disciplines for centuries. In this workshop, we will showcase some of the latest research in cognitive science, shedding light on both perceptual metacognition and consciousness.
